Located in the heart of downtown Inglewood, Inglewood High School offers students a comprehensive college-preparatory program, academic and social support, and a wealth of activities.
The curriculum features Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and A-G courses required for entrance into the California State University and University of California systems. Inglewood ranked #5 in all of LA County for the number of A-G courses offered. Ten different Advanced Placement (AP) subjects are offered. Inglewood High is a certified AVID school, offering the statewide program designed to prepare students for college success. Students also receive support through College Summit, which provides college visits and assistance with college and financial aid applications.
Inglewood High School offers a variety of programs including free after-school tutoring, Gifted and Talented Education, SCROC career classes, College preparation, UCLA’s tutoring/advisement program, internships with Northrop Grunman, English Language Development, and counseling, to name a few. Sports offerings include basketball, football, baseball, softball, track and field, cross country, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, drill team, step team, and tennis. Inglewood also boasts an award-winning marching band and classical music program. Clubs include Earth Club, Associated Student Body, MEChA, Black Student Union, yearbook, and JROTC, to name a few.
